let's play!

i love the idea of giving vintage toys to my kid. i think it is an excellent way to learn some important things, like ecology, sharing, caring.. what a wonderful thing also to pass on a toy that brought so much fun to other kids!

the brementown musiciens is a fairy tale from the grimm brothers. do you know it? it is very popular here in germany. here are 2 lovely vintage items representing them: a plate and a brooch of my personal collection.

we visited aix les bains a little thermal city on a lake (the lac du bourget) in the middle east of france. we enjoyed the lake, the typically french architecture and above all the food!

street party

every year, at this period, there is a party in our street (i mean the whole street): fleemarket in the day for kids and grown ups to sell their toys, clothes and shoes. and at night, people bring the tables in the street for barbecue and pic nics with the neighbours. honestly i love this and even more because i find this togetherness so unusual and unexpected in such a big city like berlin.

at last here are the findings of last week end: a fat lava planter, doll house furniture, a green colani elephant key ring, a mid century small kidney bean table, a lemon squeezer.
and also a flower power vespa, and a door to your dreams :)

from today

i didn't have time to take pictures of my week end findings today.. but here are some pictures of what grabbed my attention: an old flyer looking at me, the entry of a building looking very much like out of alice in wonderland and an old citroen ds in a stunning shape :)
